Following on from last year's superb range of entries, we have some outstanding new exhibits for this year's show, as well as many old favourites. For the first time we have a WW1 re-enactment group of guys and girls down by the main entrance road, and we are also pleased to welcome the Duggan Vehicle Collection with a range of military vehicles, kindly transported by Neil's Plant Hire, and which extends the range of armoured vehicles provided by Neil Whatling, who we are pleased to welcome back again this year.
Neil will of course be giving public rides in some of his vehicles in the off road arena. So listen for the noise and come and experience the excitement of heavy Armour, talk to the re-enactors and while you're with us, drop in on the Thorpe Camp wireless group, just look for the aerials! Finally, the MV section team wish you a great Belvoir Castle rally.
The list of attending machines is too long to post here! So, if you'd like to browse the full list, you can download a PDF document HERE.

Belvoir Castle Steam Festival & Family Show 2009 will be on the 16th & 17th May 2009.
This year we have a new feature in the form of 'The King's Shilling' a group of lads 'n' lasses re-enacting WW1 soldiers and nurses - a section of recreated First World War trench will be on display at the entrance. In additon we are hoping for two large exhibits in the form of a Mk10 Chieftan Main Battle tank which will be giving a few rides to the public, it weighs 55 tons and drinks at the rate of about two miles to the gallon!

In addition we are currently awaiting confirmation of a Chieftan AVRE tank which is an Engineering vehicle, and from the same owner, a 155mm FH70 heavy howitzer. The Tommy Atkins group and German reenactors are booked in again, plus the usual fine cross section of interesting military vehicles from all periods, along with a military wireless display from the Thorpe Camp radio group- just look for the aerials and you'll find our area, that's if you miss the sound of armoured vehicles charging around our own off road arena each day of the show! Some of these are available for rides for a small fee.
The Military display returns for 2009 - showing in the second arena which will feature all of the other vehicle displays and general arena entertainment, including classic cars and motorcycles, steam engines, military vehicles, lorries and buses, etc.
